I don't know who wrote this, but here are the guidelines for this board.

Well, I for one thank Kaltia for all her hard work.
The regular PPC boards are ghastly. If there is one pop-up, there are ten thousand. The last two viruses that my virus spotting program caught appeared not five minutes after I logged onto the regular PPC boards. And God help you if you want to read a thread that isn't on the front page--it's murder to find anything. And let us not forget the trolls that can push perfectly good threads right off the board, because the regular board doesn't have mods.
I like this board. I like it very much indeed. It's more orderly. It's better structured. It will be easier to find things. There are fewer pop-ups and no auto-downloads. And there will be mods to banquish* trolls.
And I hope we switch. I would like to be able to keep up with the posts on the PPC board without having to risk infecting my computer with a virus or a worm.
*portmanteau word, combo of banish and vanquish

Hmm. Well, I *could* handle this, but I'm afraid I am a creature of hobbit... I mean habit. Maybe you could have both this and the old board running, then see if one kinda slows down?
But please, try not to split the PPC into old board/new board. That would be bad bad *bad*.

Both boards are fine by me. Might want to change the colour scheme on this one though (if that's possible). It's a little drab at the minute.

True, the colors are odd, but all in all it's a vast improvement.

*nods* I like this board. Free of the evil popups, we've got smilies, we've got mods if we want them. And no flamers or anyone can impersonate people, which is nice.

But please, try not to split the PPC into old board/new board. That would be bad bad *bad*. hS That's not my intention, and I don't know where people got that idea from. The intention of this boards was to see how we felt about _moderators_, and rather than asking P@L to fiddle around the the old boards for an experiment, I thought it'd be a good idea to have something else as our lab rat.

Hmm. It looks good, but I'm not sure this wouldn't be more confusing than our board, although I can see some good points.

I'm on a board from sudden launch which is set up almost exactly like this. In fact, it may *be* exactly like this. Colors aside, of course. I'm a mod on that other one, so I know how the admin controls are too. They're pretty user-friendly. However, as I've said before, I still would rather just stay on the normal boards. But if people are going to come here, then I will be here too. This place would keep trolls and people who just come to flame out. Which would be a good thing...But I'm just awfully emotionally attached to the other boards. I'll be staying on them for as long as they exist.

Oh, and there is a way to create more than one message section...I mean, this one is called "General"(not General Board, but General..the main heading thing), and it's easy enough to create more, just like there are on the ez-boards site.
Yeesh. I don't like ez-boards...I find them to be highly confusing.

I don't like ezboards either. They're slow to load, even on ADSL, and unnecessarily complicated.

Yes, and I think that the messages system they have is quite crazy. This one is easy to understand. Oh and you can modify your own posts here. You can do that on ez-boards too but...It's probably the one thing that I most wish the PPC boards had.
